GUARANTEE - PC Home Help fully guarantees all work for a period of six calendar months from the date of completion. PC Home Help is not responsible for any alterations made by the customer or unauthorized persons to work previously carried out by PC Home Help. In such cases PC Home Help will deem this to be new rectification work and charge the customer accordingly. PC Home Help will not honor any guarantees unless the customer’s account is paid in full.

PAYMENT - Payment terms are as follows and are at the discretion of PC Home Help;

New clients – Seven calendar days from the date that work has been billed.

Existing clients - Thirty calendar days from the date that work has been billed.

 

PC Home Help will give a maximum of seven days written notice that payment is due. Failure to make payment to PC Home Help by the due date may result in a late payment fee of $30.00 being incurred by the customer. Returned checks will also be subject to an administration fee of $30.00.  Delinquent accounts that are passed to a collection agency may incur an additional 30% of their debt in order to recover collection expenses.

 

WEB SERVICES - All Domain registration and web-hosting fees must be paid in advance of services being rendered. Hosting fees and Domain Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. Hosting is for a minimum of one calendar year and is in yearly increments thereafter. All domains registered by PC Home Help remain the property of PC Home Help until transferred to a third party web hosting company. Failure to meet terms of payment for web-services rendered will result in the closure of the relevant web-site for a period of 30 days. Failure to meet payment terms for a period exceeding 60 days will result in the permanent closure of the relevant web-site and the cancellation of the clients account. Transfer of Domains to a third party hosting company are subject to a transfer charge at the rate of one years hosting as per hosting rates at the time of transfer.  Domains that are unused for a period of twelve consecutive months from the date of registration may be closed and not renewed by PC Home Help. All HTML created by PC Home Help remains the property of PC Home Help, content and graphics shall remain the property of the domain owner.

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION - PC Home Help will give a minimum six hours notice if scheduled appointments cannot be kept. Should PC Home Help notify the customer in less than six hours, PC Home Help will discount the re-scheduled work by 25% as compensation to the customer. Should the customer have to cancel a scheduled appointment, a minimum of six hours notice must be given to PC Home Help. Should a customer notify PC Home Help of a cancellation within six hours or less of the scheduled appointment the customer will agree to pay a standard no-show fee of  $30.00

HARDWARE UPGRADES – PC Home Help will notify the customer of the full cost of hardware upgrades and replacement parts. The customer will agree to pay in full for hardware upgrades or replacements of which they have been advised. Upgrades and replacement parts will not be returned to suppliers unless they are found to be faulty and their return can be justified in accordance with the suppliers or manufacturers returns policy – a re-stocking charge may be imposed by the supplier.

PARTS AND SUPPLIES - PC Home Help is not responsible for third party policies with respect to upgrade parts and consumables that we purchase on behalf of the customer. PC Home Help will endeavor to appraise the customer prior to purchase, of any policies governing the return of materials found to be defective or that fail to perform to their set specifications.

DATA RECOVERY - PC Home Help is not responsible for customer data that has been compromised by virus and/or spy-ware infection. PC Home Help will make every effort to recover all critical data where possible.  In some cases customer data may be irretrievable due to irreversible infection or irreparable damage. In such cases, compromised data will be deleted to prevent further infection to the customers remaining data. PC Home Help will advise the customer if any data needs to be destroyed.

 

SOFTWARE INSTALLATIONS - PC Home Help will retain physical ownership of all original Operating System media in order to effectively ensure the ability to reinstall a customers Operating System should the need arise.  PC Home Help will, at the customer’s request, supply one copy only of any Operating System disk.

 

UNCLAIMED REPAIRS – Unclaimed repairs will be subject to a storage charge of $10.00 per thirty days (or part thereof ) after billing. Repaired items that are unclaimed after a period of 90 days will become the property of PC Home Help and will be either added to our business inventory or sold to recoup repair costs. Of the amount received for the sale of goods, repair costs will be deducted first. Any remaining funds will be donated to a charity of our choosing.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS CHANGES - PC Home Help reserves the right to make periodic amendments to Terms and Conditions as appropriate. PC Home Help agrees that any matter in dispute will be dealt with in accordance with the Terms and Conditions that were in effect at the time of the dispute.
